Norilsk Nickel as an employer retains leadership in the industry

About 5.000 jobs were provided by Norilsk Nickel last year to residents of Norilsk and candidates from other regions of the country, sgnorilsk.ru reports.
The company held job fairs in Talnakh, Kayerkan and in the cities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, concluded contracts on the organization of vocational training of unemployed citizens in professions in demand in the company.
Norilsk Nickel remains the industry leader both in terms of the amount of remuneration and in terms of the overall social package. The average salary increased by 26% year on year – up to 183.000 rubles per month.
The attractiveness of the company as an employer is confirmed by high ratings of various independent ratings, such as gold in the Forbes rating and the title of "Best Employer of the metallurgical industry" in the national rating of employers HeadHunter and RBC.
In the field of employment there are agreements with educational institutions where they teach in the mining and metallurgical profile. An example is Bystrinsky Mining and Processing Plant, which has concluded contracts on practical training of employees with five universities and an industry technical school. In 2022, about 100 students were able to complete an internship at Bystrinsky GOK.
Norilsk Nickel annually provides charitable assistance to institutions of higher and secondary vocational education in Norilsk, purchasing literature and specialized equipment, participating in repairs, which contributes to improving the quality of student training. 1.9 million rubles were allocated from the company's budget for the reconstruction of the building of the Polar State University in 2022.
Traditionally, an important area of activity of Norilsk Nickel is the support of indigenous minorities in the territories of its presence. Since 2020, a five-year program of support and development of ethnic groups of Taimyr has been implemented.
The total amount of financing is more than two billion rubles. In 2022, at the request of local communities, the program was expanded and about 100 million rubles were allocated for additional activities.
