The Ural Automobile Plant plans to start full-scale production of vehicles for Arctic conditions at the end of 2025, CEO of the company Pavel Yakovlev was quoted by TASS as saying at the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg.

"The task is to start full-scale production of the Arktika line of vehicles at the end of 2025, there are three types of cars: a car with a separate cab and a separate box body, a monohull, which is presented here, a long-haul truck with a monohull semi-trailer. This line should be fully developed and certified by the beginning of 2026. As for the monohull, tests and certification should be completed by the end of next year," Yakovlev said.

Agency sources specified that the factory will be able to produce up to 350 similar cars a year, the volume of investments may amount to, according to preliminary data, to 300-500 million rubles. At the same time, the functionality of vehicles may vary depending on the customer's request - in particular, these can be made into medical units or mobile classrooms that can traverse terrain to hard-to-reach places. The vehicle has all the conditions for comfortable transportation of passengers over long distances in difficult climatic conditions up to minus 50 degrees Celsius. A vehicle over 4m high has almost 2m wheels with low pressure tires.
