A scientific conference on permafrost soils to be held in Salekhard

The All-Russian scientific and practical conference named "Permafrost soils in the Anthropocene" will be held on August 20-26 in Salekhard.

The forum will be attended by over 150 people, including scientists, students and postgraduates of leading Russian educational and research organizations, the Department of External Relations of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District reported.

The conference participants will discuss issues related to the study of permafrost soils.

The conference was organized by the Government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the Scientific Center for Arctic Studies, the Russian Center for Arctic Exploration, the Institute of Physico-Chemical and Biological Problems of Soil Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg State University.
