Over the previous eight years that the online academy "Conquerors of the North" has existed, more than seven thousand participants have mastered the course.
The program is meant for bachelor's, specialist's and master's degree students in the engineering fields of mining, metallurgy, geology, energy, construction as well as for business specialties. Young professionals who graduated from universities no more than three years ago are also eligible.
The program "Conquerors of the North" started with a broadcast on VK social network, where the grand opening was held with a story about Norilsk Nickel and the stories of the graduates of the course.
The participants inquired which specialists Norilsk Nickel primarily needs in any particular region of the company's presence.
Oleg Isaev, Chief Corporate Youth Programs Manager of the Human Resources Development Department at Norilsk Nickel, participated in the dialogue as a representative of the Polar Branch.
According to him, this year the program "Conquerors of the North" has new blocks on personal development, lean manufacturing and other relevant topics.
It will take an average of 30 minutes to study on a special training platform every day. The closing ceremony of the academic season is scheduled for September 9. The most distinguished participants will receive Norilsk Nickel awards.
