The melting of the glaciers of the Arctic Ocean will give Russia the opportunity to ensure trade through China with Europe and North America along the Northern Sea Route. This is the opinion expressed by the famous Russian orientalist Nikolai Vavilov.
"There is also transit along the Northern Sea Route. And it is very effective. Russia, in fact, can not only connect China and Europe, but it can connect China and North America," the expert explained.
According to Vavilov, this will lead to the revival of the form of rent on which large empires were built earlier. In this system, space and its control are important components. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure this control with the help of the army and the navy, the expert stressed.
