Norilsk Nickel to increase transportation along the Northern Sea Route in 2024 to 2.4 mn tons

Norilsk Nickel plans to transport 2.0 - 2.1 million tons of products for its enterprises along the Northern Sea Route in 2023, and in 2024 Norilsk Nickel will increase transportation to 2.4 million tons.

This was announced by Ravil Nasybullov, Director of the Logistics Department of Norilsk Nickel, at the Neva-2023 international conference.

In 2024, the capacity of ports of the Northern Sea Route will more than double, but there are not enough ice-class vessels for the growing cargo flow along the Northern Sea Route.
