The Arctic bus that is being jointly developed by the Ural Automobile Plant and the South Ural State University, has successfully passed tests on rough terrain, TASS reports.
The tests took place at the Kalachevo airfield training ground. Within 10 working days, the bus covered more than 900 km.
The vehicle is designed to transport passengers on temporary roads, winter roads, at air temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius below zero.
Thanks to the use of wide-profile low-pressure tires, the Arctic bus provides a low specific pressure on the supporting surface.
