During the first ten months of 2023, the volume of coastal cargo handled at the Murmansk Commercial Sea Port exceeded 1.2 million tons.
During the same period of 2022, Murmansk port workers handled 813,420 tons of coastal cargo, said Production Director of JSC Murmansk Commercial Sea Port Vitaly Vlasov.
"It is already clear that over the past year we have seriously increased the volume of processing of coastal cargo - primarily those that go in the Arctic direction, which is invariably one of the key activities of the enterprise. These are inert loads - crushed stone and sand, as well as general loads - various machinery and equipment. Thus, we are making a significant contribution to the development of the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route," Vlasov said.
