At the 12th UN Forum “Business and Human Rights” in Geneva, Hernán Vales, the Indigenous Peoples and Minorities Section Chief of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, met with Alexander Shaburkin, the head of the analytical section of the Federal and Regional Programs Department of Norilsk Nickel.
At the meeting, Norilsk Nickel representatives unveiled the company's Human Rights Report for 2022, the Norilsk Nickel Program for Supporting Indigenous Peoples, materials on the FPIC procedure, and the results of the Large Scientific Expedition.
Hernán Vales noted the correctness of Norilsk Nickel’s approaches in interaction with indigenous peoples and the company’s great work in this segment.
