The latest Arhant-N snowmobiles will be tested in Yamal, the Department of Transport and Road Management of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District reported.
"In autumn, the equipment has already passed tests on the lakes of Karelia, and after that they will be tested in extreme temperatures," the department said.
The equipment has already been tested during the Clean Arctic - Vostok-77 expedition. Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences have tested two models of snowmobiles in the cold. The machines are able to move around any terrain and even swim across rivers, lakes and swamps.
