In 2023, Rosatom fulfilled the cargo transportation plan on the Northern Sea Route in the amount of 36 million tons, said Alexey Likhachev, the CEO of the state corporation.
"I am very grateful to our partners – Gazpromneft, Lukoil, Norilsk Nickel, who found a way to switch from western destinations. This allowed us, firstly, to reach the target figure of 36 million tons before the New Year and, secondly, to increase international transit to a record volume of significantly more than 2 million tons," Likhachev said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel.
