The robot can recognize faces and navigate in space.
The new tech was demonstrated at the All-Russian Youth Forum in Kronstadt. The robotic assistant to Arctic researchers was created by Varvara Mineeva, an engineer at the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications.
She said that the robot, named Ivan, can determine its coordinates, and has a built-in face recognition system.
Ivan is powered by a battery pack.
Also at the forum, engineers demonstrated aircraft that can carry cargo over long distances at high flight speed, nia14.ru reports.
