Cargo turnover at Arctic seaports decreases compared to last year

The cargo turnover of seaports in the Arctic basin in January-February 2024 amounted to 15 million tons. This is 4.5% less than in the same period of last year, Rosmorrechflot reported in its Telegram channel.

The volume of dry cargo transportation in the Arctic basin decreased by 8.3% to 4.2 million tons. Transportation of bulk cargoes decreased by 3% and amounted to 10.8 million tons.

In general, the cargo turnover of Russian seaports in the first two months of the year amounted to 139 million tons. The volume of transportation of dry cargo increased by 2% to 67.2 million tons, bulk cargo decreased by 3.7% to 72.4 million tons, according to b-port.com.
