Russian-made tires tested in the Arctic

Tests of tires manufactured by the Russian Vershina Center have begun at the Northeastern Federal University, a resident of the advanced development territory of Yakutia.

According to the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV), the general customer of the tests is the domestic holding Cordian.

The tests are conducted in two stages on four snow and ice tracks. Tires are tested on natural, not artificial ice. The task is to study and improve the rubber in the conditions of the climate of the Russian Arctic. A technical center and a service center also operate at the test ground.

The investment project was implemented under an agreement with the KRDV, the volume of investments amounted to about 70 million rubles, ttelegraf.ru reports.
