Russian and Chinese scientists discuss new approaches to Arctic management

The St. Petersburg University together with the Oceanic University of China held the third Arctic School event. Employees of the representative office of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District in St. Petersburg alto took part in the conference.

"The team took part in the opening of the third Arctic School named "Anthropogenic impact on Arctic ecosystems in search of new approaches to Arctic management" and the round table "Approaches of Russia and China to understanding the sustainable development of the Arctic: alternatives to the Western ESG agenda," the Yamal Unites channel on the Telegram social network reports.

The Third Arctic School was organized with the support of the Arctic Center of Petrozavodsk State University, the North European Scientific and Educational Open Consortium and the Gorchakov Foundation.

Meetings of Chinese and Russian scientists dedicated to the development of the Arctic have been held since 2011 both in China and in the regions of the Russian Federation.
