The Kremlin's official website published a joint statement by the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China on deepening comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation in the context of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The document also talks about the development of the Arctic and the promotion of the Northern Sea Route as an important international transport corridor.

The Russian-Chinese intergovernmental meetings commission plans to establish a subcommittee on the development of the Northern Sea Route and mutually beneficial cooperation in the Arctic, ensuring the preservation and conservation of the ecological system of the region.

The parties intend to encourage the companies of the two countries to strengthen cooperation in such areas as the growth of cargo transportation along the Northern Sea Route and the construction of logistics infrastructure, as well as to deepen cooperation in the field of Arctic shipbuilding and technology.
