Wison New Energies (former Wison Offshore & Marine) is suspending its operations in Russia. Its board of directors decided to complete all current projects and stop participating in new ones indefinitely.
Wison New Energies is one of the manufacturers of modules for the Arctic LNG-2 project and should help NOVATEK with the construction of an onshore power plant for the LNG plant under construction. According to analysts, NOVATEK may still have time to receive modules for the Arctic LNG-2 project.
However, the situation with buildings for power units is more complicated. Wison New Energies is aware of the impact the decision may have on Russian partners and promises to ensure a "smooth transition."
Wison New Energies is part of the Wison Group, whose structures are engaged in engineering services, shipbuilding, green energy and other activities.
Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industry, a subsidiary of Wison New Energies, has contracts with Rosatom for the construction of hulls for three floating nuclear power units that are supposed to supply electricity to the Baimskaya OPP in Chukotka (OPP Baimskaya LLC has been included in the SDN List since May), angi.ru reports.
