Russian government to allocate 30 billion rubles for military infrastructure in the Arctic

The Russian government will allocate about 30 billion rubles in 2024-2026 for the development of military infrastructure in the Arctic zone, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"With the help of federal support, project documentation will be developed and kindergartens and schools will be built, communal infrastructure facilities will be modernized, housing and social facilities will be updated, public spaces will be landscaped, and access roads of regional and municipal significance will be repaired," the message says.

The financing will be directed from the federal budget, some of which will come from the state program "Socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation".
