Russia and India encourage cooperation in the development of maritime transportation between the countries along the Northern Sea Route (NSR). To this end, the countries have declared their readiness to create a working body for cooperation, according to a joint statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The parties also share approaches to building a new architecture of stable and efficient transport corridors, and pay close attention to the development of promising value chains in the Eurasian space.
In this context, the leaders expressed their readiness to actively work on increasing logistical ties with an emphasis on increasing infrastructure capacity, including for the launch of the Vladivostok–Chennai sea corridor and the North–South international transport corridor, portnews.ru reports.
