Ship repair plant in Russian Arctic to undergo repairs

The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov supported the initiative of the governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis on the modernization of the 10 SRZ enterprise, nia14.ru reports. It is the oldest ship repair plant on the northern coast of the Kola Peninsula.

After modernization, the company which turns 90 years old in 2025, will be able to engage not only in ship repair, but also in shipbuilding.

The renovation will be done on the mooring wall, while the approach channel will be expanded, construction and repair works will be done at the enterprise’s workshops, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region reported.
