NOVATEK denies allegations of creating “shadow fleet” for Arctic LNG-2

NOVATEK has issued a statement, saying that all allegations about the company’s plans to form a “shadow fleet” of gas tankers for Arctic LNG-2 project are false.

In turn, Yamal LNG OJSC also issued an appeal to its partners, in which it denied allegations published in media that gas carriers chartered by it are used to ship products of the Arctic LNG-2 project.

"These allegations are outright false or are a deliberate insinuation by the media and the so-called "experts" they involve," the statement said.

NOVATEK and Yamal LNG stressed that they will stop all attempts to publish and distribute untrue information aimed at harming the company, and intend to defend their interests in court, angi.ru reports.
