An ethnic camp called "Kergen Uota" (Family Hearth) appeared on the quay of the Russian city of Dudinka. It hosted a festival dedicated to the UN International Decade of Indigenous Languages, celebrated from 2022 to 2032.

With its initiative, the UN General Assembly intends to draw public attention to the critical situation of many indigenous languages. And ultimately - to revive and preserve them. Norilsk Nickel company shares this approach and participates in it.

The ethnic ensemble "Kheiro" sang and danced for those gathered for the festival. Despite the frosty weather, or perhaps because of it, the audience danced and sang along. During breaks, guests went into the tents to drink tea, try northern treats, and look closely at the costumes of the indigenous peoples.
