The volume of northern imports amounted to 3.4 million tons in 2024, the plan was fulfilled by 99%, said Gadzhimagomed Huseynov, First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.
According to him, the bulk of the northern import fell on fuel and energy resources - about 70%, or more than 2 million tons.
In 2025, according to preliminary data, the volume of northern imports will amount to about 3.4 million tons.
Northern import is a set of measures for the uninterrupted supply of basic vital goods to the territories of the Far North. The delivery of goods to these places is associated with a number of restrictions in a difficult climate. It is carried out by air, river and sea transport, including through the waters of the Northern Sea Route, tass.ru reports.
