Scientists from Finland have decided to withdraw from joint work with the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences on modelling Arctic ice.
According to TASS, the Finnish side decided to terminate cooperation for political reasons, despite the successful research conducted by scientists from Novosibirsk.
It is noted that the developed model of Arctic currents was used to analyse the spread of microplastics in the Arctic Ocean.
