International Arctic Forum to be held in Murmansk on March 26-27

23 january 2025

The International Arctic Forum dubbed "Arctic - Territory of Dialogue" will be held in Murmansk on March 26-27.

"The choice of venue is not accidental: the Murmansk region is one of the few regions of our country that is entirely part of the Arctic zone and is the largest economic zone in Russia and the world with a single set of tax and administrative preferences," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee.

According to him, the event will unite the efforts of government bodies, international organizations, representatives of the scientific and business communities of Russia and foreign countries for an open discussion of the most pressing issues of sustainable growth of the Arctic region, which is especially important in the context of current geopolitical changes.

The previous International Arctic Forum was held in 2019 in St. Petersburg and brought together more than 3,600 representatives of Russian and international political, scientific and business circles, the public and leading media from 52 countries. 45 agreements worth a total of 69.8 billion rubles were signed at the forum, tass.ru reports.
