Products That Intervene In Consumer Lives: What Apple Can Teach The Jewellery Industry

18 september 2015

(GEMKonnect) - I was at the Apple store the other day with my son. We were both looking for phones to buy. I was struck by the fact that even in the middle of the working day, the store was crowded with customers, both men and women, most between the ages of 18 and 30. Among the most promising locations is Canada, which the Kimberley Process says held its third place spot for global production by value even as Russia pushed Botswana into second place. In fact Canada owes its status to just one region of the Northwest Territories, Lac de Gras, which hosts three current mines, a soon-to-be fourth and an encouraging exploration play.

15 september 2015

(Rapaport) - Don’t be fooled by the pitch that touts shortage as a reason for investors to plough dollars into the diamond mining sector. In fact, like many other commodities in the world today, the diamond industry is also drowning in a supply glut. What’s worse, amid all the talk of weaker rough sales, is that global production actually grew in the first half and looks set to continue increasing for the rest of 2015.
