Russian diamonds enjoy success in Dubai

alrosa_logo.jpgRussia-based diamond miner ALROSA held an auction in Dubai last December putting on the block diamonds of special sizes (weighing 10.8 carats and above). According to the company, this auction netted $ 7.4 million.
ALROSA sold 138 diamonds totally weighing 2,100 carats. The buyers were customers from Belgium, Israel, India and the United Arab Emirates (35 companies in total).
“ALROSA held its last 2020 auction in Dubai and achieved good results. We have sold over 90% of auctioned diamonds that indicated a stable demand for our rough during the holiday season,” commented Evgeny Agureev, Deputy CEO of ALROSA.
