Gem Diamonds has recovered a high-quality 245 carat Type II, white diamond from its Letšeng mine in Lesotho.
The company also recovered a high-quality 102 carat Type II, white diamond from the mine.
Gem Diamonds owns 70% of the Letšeng mine, which is famous for the production of large, top colour, exceptional white diamonds, making it the highest dollar per carat kimberlite diamond mine in the world.
The company recovered a 254-carat Type II white gem in May, which was later sold for $40,139 per carat.
