Norilsk Nickel receives the award of news agencies as the most open company of the year

Interfax and AK&M news agencies, accredited by the Bank of Russia for disclosure of information on the stock market, presented Norilsk Nickel with an annual award for information transparency, ttelegraf.ru reported.
The company did not reduce the volume of disclosure in 2022 and consistently demonstrates commitment to the principles of transparency, experts stated.
The honorary prize – transparent crystal – Norilsk Nickel received at the award ceremony of the winners of the annual Director of the Year award, organized by the Association of Independent Directors and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
The award for active corporate policy in the field of information disclosure has been awarded by the agency since 2003.
When choosing the winner of the award, the completeness and timeliness of disclosure of financial statements, corporate events, information about the ultimate owners, informative messages, including the company's attention to environmental issues, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG) are taken into account.
The jury appreciated the convenience of Norilsk Nickel's corporate website, the high quality of the company's reporting, and the promptness of publishing material facts. In addition to standard non-financial reporting, Norilsk Nickel also discloses ESG data in the format of presentations and ESG data book, which is convenient for analysts and optimal for perception.
The jury of the award, which includes representatives of news agencies, trading platforms, and the Association of Independent Directors, also noted the openness of the company when communicating with journalists.
"Norilsk Nickel has been actively working for many years to increase the level of transparency and openness. We are grateful to the experts and media representatives for their high assessment of the company's corporate governance standards, " Larisa Zelkova, Senior Vice President of Norilsk Nickel, commented on receiving the award.
