Norilsk Nickel to hold a seminar on geometallurgy

The Norilsk Nickel Company together with scientists of the Siberian Federal University will organize on March 30 a scientific and technical seminar on the problems of quality management of ore raw materials, modern measuring complexes, devices and quality control technologies.
"Geometallurgy will allow to track production and economic indicators from geological exploration to metal production, integrate all planned production indicators taking into account economic calculations to maximize profits and reduce risks, predict economic effects from ore movement in the face to metallurgical processing," the company's press service explained.
The seminar is supposed to consider the prospects for the development and implementation of modern measuring systems, instruments and technologies that allow to quickly determine the qualitative characteristics of the extracted ore, including its elemental and mineral composition, both in the mine and in the ore flow on the surface.
