Norilsk Nickel launches new corporate program "Digital Investor"

23 march 2023
Larisa Zelkova, Senior Vice President and Head of the HR, Social Policy and Public Relations Unit at Norilsk Nickel, launched the new Digital Investor program.
Every employee who has worked in the company for more than a year will receive digital financial assets (CFA) tied to the value of the Norilsk Nickel stock, ttelegraf.ru reported.
Under the terms of the program, the length of service will be considered on January 1, 2023. The CFA of Norilsk Nickel is called minetoken.
"Each employee with at least one year of work experience in the company will receive money from the company to purchase digital financial assets linked in value to Norilsk Nickel shares: the more experience, the more CFA. We can say that this is a reward for an employee or his additional bonus, which expresses recognition of his merits and contribution to the success of the business over the years. We consider it fair that the number of CFA is determined by the number of years worked in the company, regardless of what position a person holds," Zelkova explained.
The program will be implemented in several stages and will cover employees in all regions of Norilsk Nickel's presence – from the Murmansk Region to the Trans-Baikal Territory.
In 2023, the program will be held in a pilot mode: the implementation should show how convenient and in demand the new digital financial instrument is among employees.
"The CFA can split up, so there is an opportunity to buy an asset even smaller than one share. CFA management is available on the Russian platform. The value of the minetoken is equal to the value of one share when selling or redeeming. And the shares of Norilsk Nickel are among the most popular securities on the market," Sergey Malyshev, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company, said in turn.
