Norilsk Nickel to allocate more than 50 million rubles to support the initiatives of the indigenous peoples of Taimyr

The Norilsk Nickel Company summed up the results of the competition aimed at solving problems and creating conditions for the sustainable development of the territory of the traditional residence of the indigenous peoples of Taimyr.
The grant fund of the competition amounted to 53 million rubles.
The winners were seven projects of family communities, three projects of NGOs, eight projects of municipal and budgetary institutions. All of them will be implemented in the next two years.
The initiatives are aimed at solving a variety of social problems, including the revival of national languages, the formation of ecological culture and the preservation of cultural memory.
The list of projects includes the construction of ethno- and sports complexes, environmental actions, the creation of a resource center and a family school of artisans, the press service of Norilsk Nickel reported.
