The kimberlite pipe has not been operated for 16 months

(TASS) - The Alrosa diamond mining company has resumed mining operations at the Zarya kimberlite pipe, which has not been exploited for 16 months, according to a message published on the company's Telegram channel.
"Alrosa's Aikhal Mining and Processing Plant resumed mining operations at Zarya. In early May, a massive industrial explosion thundered at a 150-meter-deep pipe. Before that, the deposit was being prepared, because it had not been exploited for 16 months," the company said in a statement.
The company noted that by the end of 2023, it is planned to raise up to 1 million cubic meters of empty ore at the quarry, and in 2024, the extraction of kimberlite ore will start at the pipe, it will be mined at processing plant No. 14.
Since 2020, the Zarya quarry has been part of the Yubileiny quarry.
