Nikolay Doronin, chairman of the board of the Project Office for Arctic Development, was elected first deputy chairman of the Ecology and Sustainable Development Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Elena Sharoikina became the chairman of the organization.
The Commission will promote the unification of interests for the society, the state and businesses in order to achieve sustainability goals and to develop comprehensive solutions to environmental, economic and social issues. The organization will also continue to deal with the conservation of nature sites and the development of the Russian Arctic.
