Students of blockchain department at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) defended their graduation master theses on June 26. The department is part of the Idea scientific center.
This year, 9 students of the department defended their theses. The commission especially noted the work of Ildar Zinatulin (“Checking system consistency in Hyperledger Fabric using State Patricia Merkle Trie”) and Alexander Ivlev (“Using CRDT to resolve MVCC conflicts in the Hyperledger Fabric system”), both of them received the maximum 10 points.
“I want to emphasize that year after year master's theses become deeper and more serious. This year has brilliantly confirmed this. I was very pleased that we've seen a varied range of works aimed at solving specific technological problems, many of them contain solutions ready for implementation, as well as scientific studies that help develop the blockchain technology. I am sure that during studies our graduates gained experience and knowledgeable necessary to find a high-ranking place in the professional community,” commented Vladimir Gorgadze, Head of the Department of blockchain at the MIPT, co-founder of the Atomyze tokenization platform and a Newity IT company.
MIPT is the leading technical university in Russia and it is included in the prestigious ranking of the best universities in the world. Today it is an advanced scientific center with 64 new laboratories and world-renowned researchers.
The ChainLab blockchain laboratory of the Idea scientific center develops expertise in the field of blockchain through interaction with international experts and community members. It develops a platform and solutions to support blockchain projects and trains dedicated experts for the industry.
MIPT's Master in blockchain is a training course on blockchain that was opened in 2019 in partnership with PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel on a basis of the ChainLab at the Idea scientific center. The course is designed for two years of study for students interested in modern blockhain tech as well as structure and rules of operation of fundamental projects in the field of cryptography and information security.
The Idea scientific center provides a tuition grant to all students under the course that fully covers its cost, and an increased scholarship from Norilsk Nickel.
