Norilsk Nickel receives high ranking in RAEX agency's ESG rating

Norilsk Nickel scored 76.2 points in the RAEX agency's ESG rating which indicates that the company's ESG risk and opportunity management achieved a high ranking.

The term ESG means environmental, social and corporate governance.

Among the environmental factors, Norilsk Nickel is the most effective at leveling the risks associated with climate change. "The company achieves this by gradually reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the share of recycled and reused water and increasing the use of renewable energy," the press service of Norilsk Nickel reported.

RAEX experts also noted the stability of the board of directors and the ownership structure, as well as a thoughtful approach to risk management at Norilsk Nickel.

In social terms, the company demonstrates a high level of responsibility to employees, providing them with a competitive salary and an extensive social package.

Earlier Norilsk Nickel received an award in the nomination "For high quality reporting in the field of sustainable development/ESG".
