The Potanin Foundation announced that is stared accepting applications for the competition dubbed "Practices of Personal Philanthropy and altruism", the winners of which will receive up to 500 000 rubles for the implementation of socially significant projects in their regions, the press service of Norilsk Nickel reported.

The grant fund of the competition is 25 million rubles. Applications will be accepted until September 11, 2023, and the results will be known no later than October 25.

In June 2023, the Potanin Foundation announced its intention to make incentive contributions to the endowments of nine Russian organizations, whose representatives successfully completed two years of training under the program "Strategy for the creation and development of endowment funds" and used the acquired knowledge as effectively as possible in practice.

The total amount of support will be 91 million rubles.

The Norilsk Nickel Company, whose president is Vladimir Potanin, supported the idea of reconstruction of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater. The Potanin Foundation fellows have improved the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park. Norilsk Nickel's socio-economic projects were among the best practices for the development of territories at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum - 2023 "Time of Siberia".
