India's overall gross export of cut and polished diamonds at $1174.41 mn in the month of July 2023 is showing a decline of 39.3% as compared to $1933.32 mn for the same period of the previous year, according to the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India.
The overall gross Imports of cut and polished diamonds at $166.03 mn in the month of JUL 2023 is showing a growth of 27.1% as compared to $130.63 mn for the same period of the previous year.
The overall gross Imports of cut and polished diamonds in DTA at $44.85 mn is showing a decline of 21.2% as compared to $56.92 mn for the same period in July 2022.
The overall gross Imports of cut and polished diamonds in SEZ at $121.18 mn is showing a growth of 64.4% as compared to $73.71 mn for the same period of July 2022.
For the period APR 2023 - JUL 2023, the overall gross Exports of cut and polished diamonds at $5667.33 mn is showing a decline of 30.9% as compared to $8200.45 million for the same period of the previous year.
The overall gross Imports of cut and polished diamonds in four months at $446.55 mn is showing a decline of 7.9% as compared to $485.07 mn for the same period of the previous year.
The overall gross Imports of cut and polished diamonds in DTA at $137.88 mn is showing a decline of 20.0% (-15.8% in rupee terms) as compared to $172.26 mn for the same period of April 2022 – July 2022.
The overall gross Imports of cut and polished diamonds in SEZ at $308.67 mn is showing a decline of 1.3% as compared to $312.81 mn for the same period of April 2022 – July 2022.
Provisional gross export of polished Lab Grown Diamonds for the period APR 2023 - JUL 2023 at $444.82 mn shows a decline of 28.6% over the comparative figure of $622.73 mn for the previous year.
Gross Imports of rough diamonds for the month of JUL 2023 show a decrease of 43.5% at $1102.69 mn, compared to $1953.21 mn for the month of JUL 2022.
Gross Imports of rough diamonds at $5110.75 mn in APR 2023 - JUL 2023 have shown a decline of 21.4% compared with the imports at $6503.36 mn for the previous year.
