Rosstat: Gold production in Russia in July down 12.3%

Gold production in Russia in July 2023 decreased by 12.3% compared to the same period last year, as reported by TASS with a reference to Rosstat's data.

At the same time, gold production increased by 14.2% compared to June 2023.

In January-July 2023, Russia increased the production of raw, semi-processed and powdered gold by 5.5% compared to the first seven months of 2022.

Production of the main precious metals in Russia in July decreased by 2.8% year on year.

Earlier in June, Rosstat reported that gold production increased by 10.8% for the first six months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

Rosstat does not provide absolute figures for the extraction and production of precious metals.
