The enterprises of Norilsk division of Norilsk Nickel will increase the volume of production to 30 million tons of ore by 2030, said Nikolay Utkin, Senior Vice President of Norilsk Nickel, director of the Polar Branch of the company.
"The plans that Norilsk will strive and reach production of 30 million tons seemed unbelievable ten years ago. Today, in total, we have already exceeded 20 million with Bear Creek. And by 2030 we are reaching 30 million tons," he said at the awarding ceremony of the best miners of the Polar Branch of Norilsk Nickel on the occasion of Miner's Day.
84 Norilsk miners were awarded honorary titles "Honored Metallurgist of the Russian Federation", medals of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the II degree, as well as certificates of honor and letters of thanks, the press service of Norilsk Nickel reported.
