Silver production in Chukotka increased by 16%

Silver production in Chukotka Autonomous district amounted to 64.5 tons in January-July 2023, an increase of 16% as compared to the same period of the previous year, nedradv.ru reports.

Silver is produced in the district by JSC Chukotka Mining and Geological Company, LLC Boulder Mine, LLC Northern Gold, JSC Base Metals (Highland Gold assets), JSC Karalveem Mine (part of the Gold Projects Management Company).

87% of the total silver production in the region was provided by the Chukotka Mining and Geological Company at 56.4 tons. The Bouldery Mine produced 5.3 tons. The Northern Gold company produced 2.2 tons of silver from previously mined and stored ore. The result of the Base Metals enterprise was 0.5 tons, the Karalveem Mine reported the production of less than 100 kg of silver.

In January-July 2022, silver production in Chukotka amounted to 55.8 tons.
