Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) miner Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) has appointed Sayurie Naidoo as acting Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1.
This comes after the recent appointment of Craig Miller as the chief executive of Amplats, which takes effect on October 1.
Naidoo has over 15 years of experience working for the Anglo-American and is a certified public accountant in South Africa.
She previously served in several different financial capacities for Anglo American and currently holds the position of financial controller, in which she is accountable for a variety of financial matters, including financial reporting, performance reporting, corporate cost control activities, governance and controls, as well as finance systems.
She sits on the boards of directors and trustee boards of several different subsidiary companies and trusts.
The PGMs miner said that the process to identify a suitable candidate for the executive finance director role at Amplats is progressing.
