GV Gold will launch Svetlovskiy mining and processing plant in 2025

In two years, the Svetlovsky Mining and processing plant, a new gold mining enterprise, will start production in the Irkutsk region, dprom.online reports.

The project for the development of the field of the same name is led by GV Gold. According to the company's calculations, the annual processing volumes of the future mining and processing complex will reach 3.5 million tons of ore. Svetlovskiy mining and processing plant is expected to produce up to 3.1 tons of gold per year.

According to the governor of the Angara region Igor Kobzev, the opening of the plant will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the region. The facility will operate in the Bodaibinsky district and will require up to 1.000 employees.

The total resources of the Svetlovskoye deposit amount to 0.66 million ounces of gold (as of January 1, 2021).
