Impala Platinum (Implats) has rebranded its most recent subsidiary, Platinum Group Metals (PGM) miner Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat), as Impala Bafokeng.
Implats has also incorporated its unmistakable logo that serves as a symbol for all entities within the group.
“We are delighted to announce the rebrand to the market. Our rationale for acquiring control of RBPlat, now Impala Bafokeng, was unwavering,” said Implats chief executive Nico Muller.
“The merger advances our commitment to grow and secure the competitiveness and sustainability of the Southern African PGMs sector, which we believe is in the national and regional interest. We are undoubtedly stronger together.”
The rebranding coincides with the delisting of RBPlat from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
