The Russian diamond mining company decided to pay dividends based on the results of January - June 2023, as it was with the final dividends for last year.
At an extraordinary shareholder general meeting on September 30, ALROSA determined the amount of payments at 3.77 rubles per share, dprom.online reports.
In total, ALROSA will allocate 27.77 billion rubles ($279.2 million) for dividends. The company emphasizes that this indicator is higher than its free cash flow for the first six months. The amount of dividends turned out to be equivalent to 50% of the profit under IFRS (55.57 billion rubles).
Although experts called the financial situation of the company stable, in 2022 the board of directors of ALROSA decided not to pay dividends based on the results of 2022 in order to preserve free funds for financial stability against sanctions.
