Gokhran sold 15,000 carats of Russian diamonds at auction

According to the results of the auction held on September 28, 2023, Russia's Gokhran sold 15,200 carats of natural diamonds. The total amount of transactions amounted to $10.886 million, according to the Ministry of Finance of Russia.

All precious stones were sold on the domestic market.

Rough diamonds from the State Fund of Russia were put up for auction. In total, diamonds with a total weight of 84,800 carats were presented at the auction. The total initial value of the lots was $2.45 million.

In June 2023, Gokhran sold 229,600 carats of natural diamonds worth $11.5 million on the domestic market.

In total, by the end of 2023, it is expected that the country's budget will receive 2.5 billion rubles from the sale of precious metals and precious stones, nedradv.ru notes.
