IDE releases video condemning terror attacks on Israel

31 october 2023

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) released a video and a statement condemning terror attacks on Israel and calling for the diamond community to unite in the face of threat.

A short clip, titled “Stand with Israel”, appeared on YouTube on October 30.

"The video emphasizes that the terror attack of October 7 was not only an attack on Israel, but also on the shared values on which the world diamond community is based: peace, justice, freedom, and brotherhood," the organization said in a statement.

"The world diamond industry is a closely interconnected community spanning the entire globe. For generations we have prospered by building bridges and standing united," IDE President Boaz Moldawsky adds.

"Israel is now fighting a brutal war against a savage enemy. An enemy that threatens the future of civilization and world peace. We call upon the diamond community to stand united with Israel. Only by working together can we create a prosperous future for us all."

Israel is one of the world’s leading diamond centers and a hub for both the trade and manufacture of polished diamonds. More than 20,000 people are directly employed in diamond industry in the country.
