Norilsk Nickel's strategic goals aimed at an increase in production volumes

07 november 2023

Norilsk Nickel has outlined several major development projects as its next strategic goals after it launched the Sulfur Program, a unique environmental project.

First of all, by the end of the year, Norilsk Nickel will make final decisions on the implementation of the Sulfur Program at the Copper Metallurgical Plant. The company is now working with relevant departments on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

The project of expansion and modernization of the port of Dudinka remains among the strategic goals of the company. This applies to crane facilities, berths, storage areas, as well as automation of port infrastructure.

By 2030, Norilsk Nickel plans to increase production volumes, including mining. Under these plans, a third melting unit should appear at the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant, which will make it possible to increase the output volumes. This program is also linked to the expansion of port facilities in Dudinka, ttelegraf.ru notes.
