The following report of India's c&p diamond exports and imports figures are as per the statistics released by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India for October 2023 & for the period APR 2023 - OCT 2023 as compared to same period last year.

Cut & Polished Diamonds

The overall gross export of Cut & Polished diamonds at $1260.91 million in month of OCT 2023 is showing a decline of 33.3% as compared to $1891.2 million for the same period of previous year.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds at $196.5 million in month of OCT 2023 is showing a growth of 98% as compared to $99.21 million for the same period of previous year.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in DTA at $40.75 million is showing a growth of 23% as compared to $33.13 million for the same period of OCT 2023

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in SEZ at $155.76 million is showing a growth of 135.7% as compared to $66.08 million for the same period of OCT 2023

The overall gross Exports of Cut & Polished diamonds over APR - OCT 2023 at $9963.53 million is showing a decline of 29.37% as compared to $14106.67 million for the same period of previous year.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds for 7 months stood at $975.86 million is showing a growth of 17.29% as compared to $832.02 million for the same period of previous year.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in DTA at $246.81 million is showing a decline of -12.82% as compared to $283.11 for the same period of APR 2023 - OCT 2023

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in SEZ at $729.05 million is showing a growth of 32.82% as compared to $548.91 for the same period of APR 2023 - OCT 2023

Rough Diamonds

Gross imports of rough diamonds at $1018.62 million in OCT 2023 as against imports of $932.56 million in OCT 2022, registering an increase of 9.23%.

Gross Imports of rough diamonds at $8479.62 million in APR 2023 - OCT 2023 have shown a decline of 18.1% compared with the imports at $10354.01 million for previous year.

Polished Lab Grown Diamonds

Provisional gross export of Polished Lab Grown Diamonds for the period OCT 2023 at $136.38 million shows decline of 23.69% over the comparative figure of $178.73 million for previous year.
