Surat Diamond Bourse showcases the world’s 'First-Ever Jewellery Mall'

07 december 2023

The Surat Diamond Bourse's (SDB) opening event, which is scheduled for December 17 and will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will represent a critical turning point in the city's dedication to excellence in the diamond sector, as per news18.com.

The SDB, which will have 27 showrooms for diamond jewellery across a vast 50,000 square feet inside a mall, would establish a distinguished platform for premium companies. The administrative committee will be in charge of the showroom auction. Dinesh Navadiya draws attention to the one-of-a-kind experience that guests can have when touring the largest office building in the world, complete with private displays for diamond jewellery.

In addition to the mall, the SDB has a 40,000 square foot Customs House located in the Diamond Club’s upper basement. This building is carefully built to make it easier for customs officers to expedite clearances, which would greatly benefit the region’s gem and jewellery industry.
